What do I need to know before enrolling?
WE DON'T DO FLUFF
This program is not "a collection of videos you could have watched on YouTube," and there is no fluff. This is a proven framework put together specifically to give you a step-by-step approach to organizing your photo collection. Each lesson builds upon the next to facilitate learning.
WE NEED YOU TO SHOW UP
This is an action-oriented program. Do not enroll unless you are open to showing up. In order for you to get organized, you need to follow our roadmaps, complete the work, and apply yourself - just like how you would in regular school.
We cannot do the work for you. If you prefer outsourcing, we recommend you hire a pro to organize for you.
LEARNING TAKES TIME
This program is not designed to be a quick fix because quick fixes don't work. In order to make sustainable change happen, we need ample time to implement what we learn. We do this in smaller steps, which is why most students are with us between three and twelve months or more. There is a lot of information to absorb, depending on your incoming tech level, so we recommend you pull up your sleeves and focus.

While both courses are identical in core curriculum content, the VIP course has support in the form of monthly group coaching, a private community, and time-saving bonuses (see above for complete list) to help you succeed. VIP course students receive access to monthly group coaching calls where they can ask questions in real-time, troubleshoot, and get feedback on their work. It’s more of an experience.

Yes! So many people have storage issues, so that’s one of the first things we tackle in this course. Whether you are in the cloud, use a computer, or are syncing photos mobile devices, we will help you with your space management.

We completely understand that these types of projects can feel overwhelming for any tech newbie, but you’ll be OK.
We will do everything we can to help you succeed. The course starts from the very beginning, and includes content on how to use your operating system (how to move files and folders, etc), how different programs are set up, and what to look for. The entire module of digital basics is there to bring you up to speed on what you need to know before you start moving files around.
If you’re a complete beginner, we always recommend the VIP version as you’ll be able to get personalized feedback and coaching included. Support helps tremendously!

Great question! The time it will take for you to complete the course will depend on a few things, for example how many photos you have, how much time you have to work with the program, and what type of tech skills you have.
The course is meant to be completed within 90 days, but we have had clients take much longer and we have some that have taken much less time. The program’s running time is approximately 6 hours of video, but you have continuous and on-demand access, so there is no actual deadline for finishing your organizing project.
If you work better with a deadline and want one, email us and we’ll set one for you. If you enroll in the VIP version, you will received monthly group coaching for a period of one year to give you ample time to finish, but that can also be extended on an annual basis for an additional cost ($220).

Yes! While we show you tutorials in the three most popular photo management programs on the market (Photo Mechanic, Apple Photos, and Adobe Lightroom), there is no rule that says you can’t use another one.
We have had plenty of students who have used Adobe Bridge, Mylio, Google Photos, and others! We’ve even had students who opted to not use a program at all and just work in the operating system. We teach you how to drive – what type of car you have doesn’t matter that much.

Not directly. This course teaches you digital photo organization. However, we realize that many of our students also have a lifetime of printed materials, so it’s something we discuss quite a bit in our VIP calls. We also have a workshop on printed photo in the archive, which you get access to if you enroll in one of the higher levels. Alternatively, you can purchase that stand-alone as well.
If you would like guidance on your printed photos too, enroll in one of the two VIP plans, so that we can assist you more in depth. In the monthly group coaching calls, you can ask about anything, and in the private coaching, we can work on whatever goals you have.

You can use either a Mac or a PC to get your photos organized because the course includes organizing options for both operating systems. We even have a video on Mac vs. PC, so you can see what’s similar and what’s different. We do not showcase Linux, and if you use that, you already have the tech skills to work this out on your own.

Our course is designed to educate you on photo organizing, and not to promote a specific product, service, platform, or software. This course is free from advertising, which makes it more costly to run than if we were partnering up with advertisers. We understand that this course may seem expensive compared to other online courses, workshops, and resources you have purchased in the past, but we are actually very competitively priced for our industry. Please remember that this is a very in-depth course that teaches you life-long skills. You will learn directly from sought-after Professional Organizers who do this for a living. The average cost for a private organizing project is around US$20,000, and this is a suitable alternative if you’re willing to put in a bit of work yourself.

Once you join DPO PRO, you get access to all the lessons (modules) instantly, so you are welcome to watch them in any order you want depending on what you are doing. Of course, we always recommend watching them in sequence (especially for beginners), because most lessons build upon each other, but you can skip around if you so choose. Skipping around does not affect the content in any way. There is no time limit on when and how many times you can watch the videos as long as you are enrolled.

Yes. This course explains and recommends industry standards, but it does not require you to follow them if you should choose not to do so. We simply want to make you aware of what they are, so that you can make an informed choice.

You have 12 months from date of enrollment to book your 4 calls via Zoom – instructions will be provided to you on how to schedule. The calls can be spaced out or done in closer proximity, but we recommend scheduling one call for every stage of the organizing process for best results.

Our monthly coaching calls are generally held on the third Thursday of the month (2 PM Central US time), but we have a system set up for you to be able to submit your questions, even if you cannot attend live. In between coaching calls, you also have access to community and email support. All coaching call schedules are posted well in advance, so you will have ample time to schedule them into your calendar. You can set up automatic reminders by RSVPing to the events in our student community.
